We are happy to announce that the Sweet Soul Choir is resuming workshops on Tuesday, February 27th, at 5:45 pm in the Selkirk Montessori School, on Jutland Avenue.

Sweet Soul Choir is a non-auditioned choir, and brings singers of all ages and walks of life together, to perform a unique and high energy mix of Motown, R&B, and Soul music.

Drop-in fees are $7.00. Rehearsals with Checo are $15.

Meet Our Director, Checo Tohomaso

Our enthusiastic director, Checo Tohomaso, has performed all around the world with notable performers like Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, and the Commodores

After his performance at Expo ’86, Checo decided to settle in Vancouver, BC. He now travels back and forth to Victoria to bring that authentic Motown sound to our choir.

We acknowledge with respect the Lekwungen peoples on whose traditional territory we live, work, and play
